You just gotta love this one. Ed Watts captures many of the quirky elements of Dead tour during this era and uses them as a backdrop for a murder mystery in this well thought out and written story. I had forgotten many of the Deadhead conspiracy theories that were highly touted by a few, but these are well-woven into this tale. Don't take it too seriously, just have a nice relaxing read in a very non-conventional scene.Product details

Great story. Entertaining and love how you entertainment the entire scene into the plot. Good stuff, easy read and well written book.
Very entertaining read that any Head will enjoy. Lots of references that tapers will catch, and lots of little nuances for any Head who loves the Dead.
Bought this on a whim just needing something to read. The beginning was a little bumpy but 1/3 of the way in couldn't put it down. Funny and carries a twist all the way to the end, makes ya think.....)

The story line developed nicely - all wrapped up in a deeper story of "the scene". Many of us lived it at one point or another and for me, I felt like I got to head out, one more time. Loved the "Bobby vs. Jerry" theme throughout...to this day, at every show (Furhur now)... we inevitibably end up in the same discussion.... It's always been Bobby for me...

this book is not only funny, it is a highly literate post modern work. From the first sentence the reader is fully engaged. In addition it provides a fascinating look at the Dead head subculture, its opinions, its politics and prejudices. I'm looking for other works by Ed Watts - can't find any - this must be a first novel.
this book was very entertaining. it was written with deadheads in mind. the plot twists at the end completely surprised me. I would highly recommend this book!!
